I work relationally and experientially in the here and now. With warmth and humour, I co-creates with my client a space that is both safe and challenging. I also work holistically, considering all dimensions of the client, but paying special attention to the mind-body connection.
Previously, I was part of the counselling team of Tyndale University and George Brown College. For the latter, my work with adults returning to school, who were identified with mental health and/or addiction issues, through the Transition to Post-Secondary Education (TPE) program has had a profound impact on me. Besides my practice, I have journeyed with generations of Asian Canadian and international students, either as a staff worker or a volunteer, through a national network of campus groups.
I am a member of The Canadian Association of Psychodynamic Therapy (CAPT). I am skilled in relational Gestalt therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy.
I am fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
